  • Congratulations to Ironman Allan Clark who completed Ironman Canada on August 28, 2011. Allan overcame considerable adversity to complete the race when another racer clipped his front tire on the downhill section of the bike course in OK Falls. Allan ended up with road rash to his hands, arms, legs, hips and a few other areas. His determination to cross the finish line was not deminished. It was an amazing effort. As Rob Fletcher said recently: " It's time to put in 2k on the couch!"

  • A huge thanks to Louisa Lorimer and Francis O'Grady who put in days of volunteer work to assist in trail marking and day of race activities for the Tenderfoot Boogie 28K, 50K and 50 miles Trail Race (August 6). Louisa and Francis put in a 12 hour shift on race day alone in addition to the previous days of trail marking. The Tenderfoot Boogie and Frosty Mountain Trail Race are organized by Gottfried Grosser a former Semiahmoo Sunrunner. Anyone considering longer distance trail races should consider one of these events!
